Conservation planning step(s) when this would be used. For general use but often used to prioritise the order in which issues are discussed during the Understanding the System step; also used in Deciding Where to Intervene; Deciding How to Intervene; and Specifying What is to be Done.

Description of tool use: Within a typical planning process there may be multiple points when it is useful to agree on the relative value or importance of alternative items on a list (such as threats, goals/objectives, or actions). There are many tools available for this. Two relatively quick, easily understood and commonly used tools are attached in the resources below.

Expertise required to use the tool: Simple to use, no specialist expertise required.  

Data requirements: No specific data requirements.
